More vintage today… Picked up this awesome sweater for 6 rand over the weekend. Seriously, I don’t know how someone could throw this out!! Haha… Maybe it’s just me but I think it’s great… Shoulder pads, lace details, oversized… All the vintage elements I love. And it looks so cute with a little white blouse underneath… White collars under knits are one of my weaknesses.
I am practically living in these high-waisted jeans from Asos… I really think I should go ahead an order them in another colour ’cause I am wearing these too much! But they are so nice. Check them out here.
Kept the accessories simple… My John Lennon sunnies are featured as usual – I love them. And of course wore my creepers to toughen up the look a bit. The end result had a kind of grunge preppy feel.

Thrifting makes me happy 🙂 Haha it also inspires me greatly (probably why I’ve been posting so much lately!).
This beautiful, over-sized, “granny-top” is possibly one of the best things I’ve ever found thrifting. It’s just so damn perfect. When I go looking for vintage stuff the most important aspects I examine in a piece are fabric (needs to be a good quality – you don’t want the old thing to fall apart in the first wash!) and fit (must be too big for an extra grunge feel). This shirt checks both of those boxes. Check out Asos Marketplace for some awesome vintage button-ups.
High-waisted shorts and a cute crop top are definitely essentials for summer. These little denims were purchased here on Ebay. You can find a similar top here. My gorgeous platform sandals are from Mr Price and the John Lennon sunnies are available at Topshop.
I love black and white dresses just incase you havent noticed ;). One of my favorite ways to wear a monochrome print dress is to throw a neutral coloured, chunky knit over them. They give a modern pattern a bit of a vintage feel (and they keep me warm in my freezing cold shop!). I picked up this amazing cardi from a street vendor in Camden Market, you can find a similar one here.
My mom brought this dress for me in Milan. I was actually pretty impressed with it surprisingly ;). I’m not too sure what the material is (I shortened the dress and lost that little tag that tells you)… but wow! It has like the softest, silkiest feel ever! If you wanna have a look at it, it’s from H&M. Check out how great the print is! It also has a cool leather yoke which you can see below.
These are my beautiful babies I thrifted on Saturday morning… I am in love with them. They are perfect, grunge, 90s leather boots. And they are so comfy. It’s amazing how adding just a pair of chunky shoes can make a feminine outfit more edgy. Love it! If you’re looking for a cool pair of vintage shoes be sure to check out sites like Esty for cool thrifted stuff.
Hope you guys liked my post! Be proud that it’s the second one in two days ;).
Jeesh… been nearly a month since I posted! How bad is that?? I’ve been so busy with exams and everything… but I should have more time now! If you are keen to see what I have been wearing over the past month (as well as things I’ve brought) please follow me on IG (@danicafaye).
Yesterday was literally the first sunny and hot day we have had in Durban for aaaaages… So I took advantage of it and wore this great nude maxi skirt, you can find a similar one here. This lovely crop top is from Cotton On, and it is seriously my favorite… so comfy and the perfect length! As you can see this is a super simple outfit, but this gorgeous crown from GlitterZombiess definitely makes the look! Please check them out – their service was really really good… Will definitely be ordering from them again.
Sorry again for not posting in so long… I am gonna try kick myself into doing it biweekly again. And thank you to all of you who read this!
