spin me round again

It feels like so long since my last post but its only been four days! I’ve been very preoccupied (and uninspired) lately… But today I found this cute, nude, high-waisted midi skirt on sale and it made me excited! There are so many ways to wear a great skirt like this, but here are three looks that I quickly threw together. You can find a similar skirt here.

a little bit of summer

I drove my granny to the mall today (taking any chance I get to practice my driving so I can pass the stupid test!) and while she was inside, I had a teensy bit of time to do some pre-summer shopping. Even though its freezing cold today and I didn’t really feel like trying anything on, I managed to find a few things that I know I’m gonna use to death once the weather starts heating up… Check them out! And feel free to leave comments – I’d love to know what you are doing to prep your summer wardrobe!

I totally love anything acid-washed, and a cool vest is the perfect summer alternative to a denim jacket. Use it to make a feminine dress a bit more edgy. Get it here.

I don't normally buy cheap nail polish but this one was in the exact colour I've been looking for! You can pick it up from Dischem for only R20!

memories will fade

I found this killer blazer in my grandmother’s cupboard this evening! I was feeling a bit lost about what to wear tomorrow and it totally inspired me! (Shh don’t tell her I have it!) It is literally perfect – over-sized, long, and the shoulder pads are super over-exaggerated when worn. Decided to pair it with this body con skirt I got for a steal price at Woolies (this one is similar) and a simple crop from New Look. I will probably wear a black top tomorrow instead, but I thought I needed to add some colour. Getting my hair re-dyed tomorrow morning! Going more red – will put up some pics in the arvo hopefully. Have a beautiful evening!

japanese love

So I just had to share my absolute fav trend at the moment – the kimono. Totally love this one by Michelle Ludek! Looks so good with a high-waisted skirt and a crop 🙂

Another take on the kimono – this one was made by yours truly 🙂 I’m also loving wearing it with mid to high rise skinnies and my favourite shoes – creepers!

vintage renewal

vintagerenewal

So for my first actual fashion post I thought I’d share one of my biggest clothing obsessions – vintage! I absolutely love anything preloved. Sometimes I find things that are just buy and wear (with a wash in between) but other times I like to tweak my finds a little bit. I brought this cute-ish pair of stone dungarees from Asos Marketplace. When they arrived I wasn’t crazy about the colour or fit. So I made it into a dungaree dress and dyed it this great denim colour that goes with everything. Super on trend and easy to do! Love it with a graphic tee!

Hey everyone! Or rather, hey no one… lol. So I’ve been wanting to try fashion blogging for quite some time, and some recent changes in my life have inspired me to just start! Not too sure exactly what its going to be like – just planning on learning and experimenting as I go! But I’m excited… Very very excited. Expect fashion. That’s all I can say 🙂
